Does carol die in the walking dead12/18/2023 ![]() She may have told Carol, who then burned the bodies in part to stop the threat of infection, and in part to cover up the crime. Her sister said she was "messed up," and in the previous episode Carol had handed her a knife after scolding her for "losing her nerve" when it was time to take her zombie-bitten father out, calling her "weak." Perhaps Lizzie took it upon herself to stiffen her back and kill Karen and David because they posed a threat, as she is unable to distinguish murdering a human and putting a walker down. ![]() There's speculation that she was the one feeding her walker "pets" rats. ![]() She seems confused about the walkers, she seems to feel that they are somehow still people, which eradicates the real consequences of death. It seems possible that Lizzie is the Ben of this world. The dangerous little boy ultimately needed to be put down by Carl. As we know, Ben turned out to be a sociopath who brutally slayed his brother. In the comic, Andrea and Dale unofficially adopted twin boys Ben and Billy when their parents died, just as Carol is now in effect parenting those girls. However, she has taken on the Andrea role to some degree. I loved that she looked quite awkward in last week's zombie fight, which is appropriate for the development of the character. She doesn't have all of Andrea's traits, of course. More and more Carol is becoming the Andrea that that the show never had. Hershel has lost a leg rather than Dale, things of that nature. As we've discussed in the past, The Walking Dead loves to take events from the comic and rework them, assign certain traits or circumstances to new characters. Over the last several days I've warmed to this idea more and more. Who is that masked murderer? Lizzie, the little girl that Carol agreed to foster when her father was killed in the walker attack on D. Or did she? Viewers almost immediately began speculating that Carol was not in fact Karen and David's killer, and that she was instead taking the fall for someone else. Aaaaand Carol committed a double homicide in the hopes of preventing a plague. Beth and Maggie put their emotions aside in order to do their jobs, their duty to the whole. Hershel risked his life in the hopes that he could save others. Rick was called upon to put down his farmer's hat and once again take on the role of sheriff, leader, and keeper of the peace. At its core, the episode was about how far the group would go to keep that prison community going. Either way, the cold-blooded murder, even if it was in the name of protecting the community, was quite a turn for that character. I confess that I hadn't until that tension-filled moment with Tyreese. Perhaps you'd already pegged Carol as the guilty burner of bodies. We'll see you next time! The conclusion of this Sunday's Walking Dead episode, "Isolation," brought with it a big reveal in the form of Carol's confession. Warning: ALL of the spoilers for last week's Walking Dead episode apply - so if you haven't seen it head out now! Come back and play with us once you're caught up! Also, we'll be touching on a storyline from the comic, so, if you haven't read and don't want to know anything, again, head out.
